Friends of Lake Tanganyika (FOLT) is environmental and humanitarian organization working for a Lake Tanganyika basin free of poverty, injustice and environmental degradation. It was founded in 2012 as The Green World Vision in response to environmental, development and humanitarian challenges facing the Lake Tanganyika Basin. In 2016 we changed our name from The Green world Vision to Friends of Lake Tanganyika. This clarified our distinction from organizations of similar name and enabled us to further tighten our concern with Lake Tanganyika Basin.
